NUMBER 5 - GOOGLE GLASS GETS FASHIONABLE
If you wrote off Google's new wearable computer as looking too geeky, you're not the only one. Now, the tech giant's vision for Google Glass is coming in to focus! Tuesday, Google lifted the curtain on a line of stylish frames and prescription lenses for the gadget. Frames will cost between $150-$225 a piece, not including the cost of prescription lenses.
NUMBER 4 - TOP TRAVELING SPOTS
If you plan on traveling to London or Paris, you won't be alone. Those are the top choices for American travelers, according to a new report from Hotels.com. Toronto beat Rome as the third favorite destination, based on where users made reservations in 2013. Four Canadian cities were among the website's top ten.
NUMBER 3 -SUPER BOWL SEX CRIMES
Nearly 200 people in New York have been arrested for sex-trafficking and related crimes leading up to the Super Bowl. Federal and local authorities say they've noticed increased prostitution around major sporting events. For the past two weeks New York vice units trained to deal with trafficking and prostitution have been positioned in certain parts of the city.
NUMBER 2 - SNOW HITS SOUTHERN STATES
States that don't usually see snow are definitely seeing it this week. Roads are snow-covered in Mississippi and Alabama, bringing traffic to a standstill for much of Tuesday. It wasn't much better in the air, with thousands of flights canceled across the south. Thousands of students in Hoover, Alabama, spent the night at school after road conditions deteriorated.
NUMBER 1 - STATE OF THE UNION
President Obama delivered his fifth State of the Union Address Tuesday night. He urged Congress to support his agenda, but at times, he says he's fine going at it alone. Obama called for action on issues that separate Democrats and Republicans, and everyday Americans. Until congress acts, the president says he'll sign an executive order to raise the minimum wage to just over $10 for new federal contract workers.
