Walmart Testing Online Grocery Shopping Program

DENVER, CO -- Grocery shopping... from the couch! It could soon be a reality, courtesy of the world's largest retailer. Bentonville-based Walmart is currently testing out a new feature. It's called Walmart To Go, and here's how it works. You pick out your groceries online, then choose between home delivery or free pickup at a local store. Walmart To Go is still in the testing stage, and it's only available in Denver, Colorado at this time. No word when it could come to Arkansas, but you can CLICK HERE to sign up now for an alert when it comes to your city.

Here's a look at some of the features of the current Walmart To Go program in Denver, according to the company:
  • Tens of thousands of grocery and general merchandise items - including fresh produce, meat and seafood, frozen and bakery, electronics and toys - are eligible for free pickup or home delivery.
  • No price mark-up - we offer the same low prices online and in-store.
  • Free Pickup is available at nearly a dozen Denver Walmart stores, and more local stores will be added in the coming weeks.
  • Pickup available at Pharmacy Drive-Thru (where available) or side of store - customers can stay in their cars while groceries are loaded in their vehicle.
  • Home deliveries arrive in Walmart To Go trucks, equipped with separate frozen, fresh and ambient storage compartments.
As this time, Walmart To Go is a closed-beta open to customers by invitation. To request an invite, CLICK HERE.
