Woman Loses Home, Shares What Tornado Victims Need

NORTHWEST ARKANSAS -- One woman who lost her home in the Moore, Oklahoma tornado last May, posted a blog outlining the best ways to help victims in Central Arkansas.

Set up a way to get funds directly and immediately to them, like a PayPal account. Find out what legal help you can offer since insurance information is often lost or destroyed. Make phone calls for the victim, find shelters, places that are offering free supplies and hot meals. Try to track down a vehicle to get them around until theirs is replaced.

Finally, she said some of the sweetest acts of love she received were not basic needs, but desires. Some of her friends knew how much she loved sewing so they bought her a new sewing machine. So, if you know of any passions or hobbies of the victims try to fulfill those.
