Another contestant was voted off American Idol on Thursday night.

Burnell Taylor sang his last song for the judges, but it was not enough to convince them to use their one save of the season. Here is what Burnell said after his performance last night.

"Like on a scale of 1 to 10, I am a 10. In spite of everything that happened, like God pulled me through that performance. He pulled me through both of the performances that I performed tonight. I'm just feeling so good that this is the first time that I actually let go and enjoyed myself."

Unfortunately, Burnell's high spirits did not carry him any further in the competition and it is now down to six.

Before Thursday's elimination, American Idol's final contestants rocked it out Wednesday night. Each performer had to sing a classic rock song, so after the show, we caught up with the idol hopefuls to hear how they think they did.

"I am feeling pretty good. I mean it can always be worse. I got great feedback from the judges and I'm just hoping that people get out there and vote for me, that's the main thing," said Janelle Arthur.

"Actually this week I was really scared. I felt like they weren't going to stand up for me. Because that's what I go for every week when I pick a song. Like okay, I want to get a standing ovation. So this week I was like oh they're not going to give me one, but they did," said Amber Holcomb.

"In some ways it is hard because I don't want to be limited to just those things that they think I'm good at, but I totally get what they're saying. People started falling in love with me when I was on the piano so I get that and I want to be able to do that so next week you might see a piano song, if i'm still around," said Angie Miller.

"I feel pretty good.  I got basically good comments all around. I feel like I did a pretty good job and I did the best I could which is all I ever really want to do," said Candice Glover.

"I just have a pinched nerve and its become worse and it's affecting everything, my performance. But yeah, I had a blast out there. I think my adrenaline got me through even though I'm in excruciating pain. The fact that Mariah said that this was her favorite performance made me so happy because I am in pain," said Kree Harrison.

"I liked my song. I thought it went really well. I think I could have done better, but other than that I think it went well," said Lazaro Arbos.
