"Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" allows players to create an avatar that can work to achieve virtual A-list status by basically looking good. At this rate, the game is set to make a whopping $200 million, just in its first year.

Production for "The Big Bang Theory" is on hold because five of contract negotiations with the five main cast members. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the five central stars have not reached new deal with Warner Brothers Television. They are reportedly asking for raises. Cuoco, Galecki and Parsons are seeking a sizable pay increase that would get them to up to 41 million per episode. The comedy to return on September 22.

Retail giant Target has tapped an exec from another other retail giant to lead a turnaround. Brian Cornell has been named Target C.E.O. He was formerly C.E.O. of Sam's Club, the warehouse store division of Walmart. Cornell has also been an executive at Pepsi-Co, Michaels and Safeway. One of his first challenges will be restoring the confidence of shoppers, after the huge credit card breach during the 2013 holiday shopping season.

The C.D.C. has raised its travel warning to level 3 for only the second time since the SARS outbreak in 2003. The other warning being issued in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.

Senate republicans have blocked a democratic plan to spend $2.7 billion on the border crisis. It needed 60 votes to pass. Republicans rejected it because it didn't include any policy changes. That make it easier to deport children back to central America. This comes as house GOP leaders plan to cancel the start of their august break to see if they can drum up support on their own border bill.
