#GirlsCanCode Camp Gives Girls Chance To Learn Computer Skills

FAYETTEVILLE, AR. --- - Gaby Davidson is a junior at Haas Hall Academy and is one of the organizers of Girls Can Code.  Five students at Haas Hall Academy wanted to empower young women from grades 2 to 12. The summer sessions have filled up, but the organizers are looking for other places to hold the program.

Davidson wanted to start the program after realizing she and her other friends were a minority in the computer science field.

"We were actually just sitting in our computer class and we were thinking about how we were the only four girls in our computer class of about 25 people. We thought other people should have the experience to learn how to code," said Davidson.
