Teachers, are so much more than instructors when it comes to guiding young minds.
In this month's Golden Apple Report, KNWA Today's Chris Frye introduces us to one teacher, who's taking a motherly approach to learning.
Creating an environment of learning, comes easy for Elizabeth Derossitt. The fourth grade teacher at Osage Elementary in Bentonville has one simple formula for success in her classroom. Besides fun, Derossitt also uses love to impact her students in more ways than one.
When asked what makes Derossitt so awesome, her students had this to say:
"She's like a mom!"
"She treats us like her kids!"
"Her nickname is Momma D!"
"She's always kind and she makes every, single activity fun for us."
