NORTHWEST ARKANSAS - Movie nights are back at the Jones Center in Springdale. Friday night's movie is the Secret Life of Pets. It's free to watch and starts at 6:30 p.m. Check in on Facebook here.

The Fayetteville Gumbo Cookoff is returning for a second year. The event is set for Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Washington County Fairgrounds. 30 teams will compete for the best amateur, professional and people's choice gumbo. There will also be live musical performances and beer. Tickets are $25. The event's Facebook page is here.

Soup Sunday is this weekend! More than 30 local restaurants will have samples of soups breads and desserts for guests to try. The event is from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the John Q Hammons Convention Center in Rogers. Adults get in for $25, children under 18 get in for $10.

Head to the Shiloh Museum in Springdale this weekend to check out a new program! The Washington County Historical Society will present Pastimes of Black Settlers in Washington County, with a focus on music, games and poetry. It's happening this Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:20 p.m. and is free!

It's a three day weekend for several schools and businesses because Monday is President's Day. Rogers Public Library will be closed Sunday and Monday. It will be open regular hours on Tuesday. The Bentonville Public Library is also closed on Monday.
