#BacktoSchool: The Arkansas Sales Tax Holiday is August 2-3

ARKANSAS -- Parents, get your shopping cart wheels greased. Arkansas will hold its annual sales tax holiday on Saturday, August 2, 2014 and ending Sunday, August 3, 2014.

During that state and local sales tax will not be collected during this 48-hour period on the sale of those back to school staples like clothes accessories, school and art supplies and instructional materials.

There are some restrictions, though. Clothing has to be priced less than $100 per item, accessories must be priced less than $50.
