Reenactors set up six stations on Friday outside of the Fayetteville headquarters house to celebrate the 151st anniversary of the Battle of Fayetteville. The event aims to get children interested in history and to illustrate the struggles Arkansans went through.
"It was hard, we had, Fayetteville, Northwest Arkansas was torn apart from the very beginning, says Judy Costello of the Washington County Historical Society. "We had Union and Confederate sympathizers."
The event is open to the public this Saturday, April 19th and will include music, children's activities, and more. Click here for more information.
