SHE'S IN THE MONEY...

General Motors (GM) says it's new CEO Mary Barra's compensation could top $14 million in 2014. That's an increase of more than 55% from former GM CEO Dan Akerson who stepped down in January. Barra's base salary is $1.6 million with additional incentives tied to the company's performance. Barra is the auto industry's first female chief executive officer.

THEY'RE 'LOVIN' IT'

McDonald's is reporting better than expected global sales for January. The company says big gains in Europe and China helped offset a sharp decline in sales at its U.S. restaurants. McDonald's stock closed down about one percent on Monday.

DYNAMIC DUO

Green Mountain Coffee has announced an agreement with Krispy Kreme to bring the doughnut chain's signature coffees to the Keurig system. Green Mountain says the smooth and decaf Krispy Kreme flavors will be available in K-cups by the end of 2014.

STOCKS UP, SLIGHTLY

The Dow Jones ended Monday up -- slightly -- gaining 7 points. The Nasdaq jumped 22 points, and the S&P 500 increased about 3 points.
