The rise in online shopping over the holidays claims a coffee casualty. Fewer people out and about impacted sales at Starbucks. The company blamed a slower sales growth last quarter partly on the quote "seismic shift" toward online shopping. Sales did grow, just not at the same rate as the previous two quarters.

The possibility of exploding toilets prompts an expanded recall. More than 350,000 Series 503 Flushmate III pressure assist flushing systems are being recalled, because the system can burst at or near the vessel weld seam. That releases stored pressure, which can lift the tank lid and shatter the tank. The systems were installed inside toilet tanks manufactured between March 2008 and June 2009.
