Dodge Baggage Fees This Summer

ARKANSAS - Travel experts say vacationers had better gear up now for what's expected to be an expensive season for travel especially if flying.

New federal data shows airlines took in more than 3.3 billion dollars in baggage fees last, don't expect they're going away anytime soon.  Consumer Reports Senior Editor Mandy Walker has come up with a few ways to dodge baggage and other fees starting with your choice of airlines, "Southwest doesn't charge for your first 2 checked bags, Jet Blue doesn't charge for your first checked bag and on some routes depending on where you're traveling, Air Canada doesn't charge for your first checked bag." Walker also says using an airline's credit card can help, as well as websites like where you can compare prices of all fees the big airlines are charging.
