Fayetteville City Council Recap: 'Back In' Parking Stays, $150,000 Traffic Signal Approved

FAYETTEVILLE, AR-- Fayetteville's city council is maintaining its support of 'back-in parking' on Block Avenue.

The council revisited the spots after after complaints from frustrated drivers.

During Tuesday's meeting, council members reaffirmed the design. Aldermen also agreed to pay for a $150,000 traffic light on College Avenue for a new Whole Foods Market coming to town.

Council members also approved a design contract for the first phase of a southwest regional park.

Another contract was also approved to extend Rupple Road from Persimmon to MLK Boulevard.
