FAYETTEVILLE, AR-- The same year as the Winter Olympics in Sochi, another set of games is coming closer to home in Northwest Arkansas. The 2014 National Veteran's Golden Age Games are coming to Fayetteville June 28th-July 2nd. Fayetteville was chosen as the host city among several others across the country. The games are a chance for military Veterans ages 55 and older to compete against athletes from across the United States In things like bowling, table tennis and swimming. Organizers say the event is meant to improve quality of life for older veterans, including those with disabilities. For more information about the games, click here.
