Google Picks Bentonville Student in National 'Doodle' Contest, Votes Still Needed

BENTONVILLE, AR-- A Bentonville third grader is getting national recognition by Google.

Thomas Jefferson Elementary student Emily Stockard has been named the Arkansas finalist for Google's "doodle" contest. It was open for kids Kindergarten through 12th grade to create inventions they think will make the world a better place.

Emily's doodle, "healthy kids," is now up for the national award. If she wins, her photo will be featured on the Google main page and she'll also get a $30,000 college scholarship. But first, she needs your help!For a link to vote for Emily's design, click here.
