Haircuts for a Cause: Students Participate in Pantene Beautiful Lengths Campaign

FAYETTEVILLE, AR-- Leverett elementary students and staff got haircuts for a cause this week. We were there Tuesday as they lined up to cut off and donate at least eight inches of their own hair. It's all part of the nationwide Pantene Beautiful Lengths Campaign. Donations provide free wigs for cancer patients.

"We've heard in the past that some people opt out of cancer treatments because they know they're going to lose their hair, says Pantene Beautiful Lengths Director, Susan Cassell. "This is a way to give back to give a wig they can get for free."

"Because they're gonna get embarassed if they go out in public with no hair," says student participant Avery Mock. "I am happy for them to have hair."

The Pantene Beautiful Lengths event takes place this year on June 25th at the John Q. Hammons center in Rogers. You can sign up to donate by clicking here. You just need at least eight inches of hair and it can't be color treated.
