Fayetteville, AR - Hundreds of people learned about the latest in technology in Fayetteville Friday.

NWA TechFest 2014 is a daylong conference aiming to educate software developers, designers, or just anyone with an interest in information technology and how it impacts the world.

Attendees chose one of eight different tracks, ranging from tech entrepreneurship to web usability. To increase participation the event is completely free, but attendees are asked to bring a $2 donation or 2 cans of food to benefit the NWA Food Bank.

"Some of them are really deep diving into arcane propeller head type topics and others are surface that are appropriate for the beginner," says Mark Brandon, Steering Committee Director. "We want a wide diverse group of people coming. If we charge, we see the same 25 people that we see at every other technology networking group."
