Thousands of toys were passed out to 250 kids during a fun-filled afternoon hosted by the Toy Industry Foundation, CASA of Northwest Arkansas and National CASA Association. Thursday's "play date", held at Fast Lane Entertainment Center in Lowell, was a day organizers say these children deserved after going through so much.
"They've suffered abuse and neglect, they've had a tough life, things are looking better and they get a lot of hope and joy and it just shows that people really care about them," said Sarah Schroeter, National CASA Strategic Giving Director.
