June Showers Good For Flowers, Not for One Local Road

SPRINGDALE, AR-- The June showers may be good for your flowers, but they're causing concern along one local street.

As the rain water rises in Springdale, concerns are rising over Cambridge Street possibly washing out. The more rain the city gets, the larger a ditch along the street grows between John Tyson Elementary and Tyson Foods.

The city council has been discussing ways to improve the heavily traveled area, which could cost up to $400,000.

In the meantime, the street division has made temporary repairs by placing large limestone boulders at major erosion spots.
