In this week's edition of KNWA & Your Family, more than any other age group -- teens are exposed to athlete-endorsed foods, and most of the time, their favorite pro is promoting junk. A new study in the journal pediatrics looked at more than 500 brands associated with athletes. Food ranked just below sporting goods -- and sports drinks, soft drinks and fast food were the most common advertisers. LeBron James, Peyton Manning and Serena Williams had the most food and drink endorsements -- and they made up a majority of the marketing campaigns for junk foods. Doctors say athletes promoting unhealthy foods may be sending mixed messages to kids.
