Local Artists Among 'Song of Arkansas' Finalists, Voting Begins

The entries are in, the voting has started and seven musicians are hoping to be your pick for Song of Arkansas, including three Northwest Arkansas natives.

Just off his performance at Grammy's Gig of a Lifetime, Barrett Baber's "A.R.K.A.N.S.A.S.(Get There From Here)" is one of the finalists, as is Fayetteville musician Candy Lee with her song "Here in Arkansas," and Bentonville teacher Matt Knoble with "Right Here in Arkansas."

Voting started Monday and goes through noon on February 24th, with one vote per email address. The winner will be announced on Monday, March 3rd.

That musician will get to perform at the 40th Annual Arkansas Governor’s Conference on Tourism in Rogers on Monday, March 10th. The winner also receives a recording session and taping of a video of their entry along with $2,000.
