A local homeless center is getting big money to support veteran families.
The Secretary of Veterans Affairs, funneling $300 million dollars in grants to hundreds of agencies across the country, including the 7hills Homeless Center in Fayetteville.
The center, receiving nearly $700,000 of that money.
The nonprofit's 'Supportive Services for Veteran Families' specifically targets low-income veterans families who are homeless or who may be at risk of becoming homeless.
The nonprofit lends them a hand with things like case management, rent assistance and emergency supplies to promote stable housing.
