Fayetteville Mayor Lioneld Jordan kicked off the "Meet Your Trails" program at Walker Park Saturday and encouraged families to get outside and get active.
Each month a city administrator will lead a walking tour in hopes of showcasing a different part of the trail system you may not have experienced before.
Mayor Jordan said more than 28 miles of multi-use trails will be open by the end of the year, so these organized trail walks are great ways to get to know the area and your neighbors.
"What's great about it, you get to visit one another, walk and talk and enjoy the beauty of this city, and that's why we do this program," Mayor Jordan said.
