NASA Celebrates Earth Day, Asks for #GlobalSelfies

KNWA -- The "selfie" is going global. To celebrate Earth Day, April 22, NASA is asking folks to take part in a worldwide celebration with the #GlobalSelfie event.

It's a nod to NASA satellites, which constantly keep an eye on Earth from space and here's how it works:

Step outside and take a picture of yourself wherever you are on Earth then post it to social media using the hashtag #GlobalSelfie.

Tucker Elementary School got in the game this morning, posting the picture you see above to the City of Lowell Facebook page.
