Clay Morgan with the Humane Society for Animals in Rogers has some pet safety reminders for us as well now that we are in severe weather season.

If your dog has anxiety, and the vet has prescribed it, make sure they have all their medicines on hand. Also, there are blankets and jackets that animals can wear to calm them down. If your animal gets stressed they may run - so make sure they are wearing a collar or have a microchip.

Morgan says he usually has five new animals come to the shelter every day after a large storm.
