"It's a real honor to see where the company started from and where it's come to today," says Dawn Whiting-Tapia, from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The Walmart Museum gives the associates a chance to learn about the company's culture, and offers a chance to see Sam Walton's office and the barber chair the billionaire sat in while getting his usual $5 hair cut.
"It's a great thing to see where the company was founded," says Ben Blad who traveled to Bentonville from Utah. "I can see a lot of Sam's ideals and the background that he came from, and kind of saw who he was as a person and how he treated people."
Alan Dranow, the Senior Director of the Walmart Heritage Group calls this week his Superbowl. He wants the associates to know, they're more than just visitors, they're a vital part of the team.
"Our company has a very rich heritage, and that they're a part of that heritage," he says. "In ten years, we're going to be looking back and they're making history today."
