According to KDKA, Shania Dennis from East Pittsburgh was arrested Wednesday afternoon. Police say 10-stamp bags of heroin were discovered recovered in the Happy Meal box and another 50 bags recovered from the suspect.
According to police, customers looking for heroin were instructed to go through the drive-thru and say “I’d like to order a toy.” The customer would then be told to go to the first window and receive the Happy Meal with the heroin. The customer would pay for the drugs and leave without stopping at the second window.
Authorities are working to determine how many similar transactions have taken place before Wednesday’s bust.
At least 22 recent deaths in Western Pennsylvania have been blamed on Fentanyl-laced heroin.
