SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark.-- - A Northwest Arkansas radio station is set to deliver over 5,000 handmade Valentine's Day cards this week.
KLRC, a ministry of John Brown University, collected handmade cards from listeners, church groups, families and schools to deliver to first responders in Northwest Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri.
"This Valentine's week, KLRC listeners wanted to thank some very brave men and women who put their lives on the line for us every day and often go unthanked for their service," said Keri Lynn, director of community engagement for KLRC. "Seeing the community come together to show their love and appreciation for first responders has been a true act of love this Valentine's Day."
The cards will be delivered this week in Benton, Washington and Madison counties, as well as Adair, Delaware and Cherokee counties in Oklahoma and McDonald County in Missouri.
