ROGERS, Ark. (KWNA) -- A 24-year-old man is being held at the Benton County Jail after he was accused of fleeing the scene of an injury accident.
A witness says Patrick Carl Randall pulled out of the Slim Chicken's parking lot and struck a man on a scooter March 5.
The witness, Kedrien Muse, says he was traveling southbound in the inside lane of South Promenade Boulevard when he saw a green van exit the parking lot and strike a scooter that was southbound in front of him in the outside lane.
Muse said the van appeared to be attempting to cross the southbound lanes and turn north onto Promenade.
Muse stated the impact sent the scooter sliding across the northbound lanes where it stopped against the curb on the east side of the road.
When Officer Tyler Bradley with the Rogers Police Department arrived on scene, Rogers EMS was already en route to Mercy Hospital with the rider of the scooter.
Randall was arrested on April 13 after a warrant was issued for leaving the scene of an injury accident, inadequate insurance in an accident, failure to yield and driving on a suspended license.
Randall's bond has been set at $15,000.
