Third Annual Black Apple Awards Take Over Deck atop The Dickson

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The third annual Black Apple Awards were held last night on the parking deck of The Dickson building in downtown Fayetteville.
The event included an art show, a fashion show, live music and comedians.
Awards such as 'favorite painter' and 'favorite chef' were given out to winners of an online voting competition.
"The Black Apple Awards have been going on for the past three years and it's just a great opportunity for us to come out and celebrate all these unique pockets of creativity here in the state," said Cody Ford, editor of "The Idle Class" magazine.
The event was created by "The Idle Class" magazine and proceeds from the event benefit the magazine as well as the new design school.
