Triple-Homicide Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

YELL COUNTY, Ark.- - (via KARK) -- The suspect in last week's triple murder that claimed the lives of a local sheriff's deputy and two others has pleaded not guilty in the case.

James Bowden, 42, was arraigned Monday morning on three counts of Capital Murder.

He's accused in the killings of Lt. Kevin Mainhart, 46, Rita Miller, 61, and Ciera Miller, 17.

The woman and teen were shot and killed outside a home on Gum Springs Rd. Thursday morning and Lt. Mainhart was shot and killed while trying to arrest Bowden during a traffic stop.
