Tyson Debuts Renovated Downtown Springdale Space

SPRINGDALE, AR -- - Tyson Foods, Inc. is officially moving back to downtown Springdale.

The poultry company held an open house on Thursday to show off its renovations at 516 East Emma Avenue, a building constructed in the 1930s that has held a truck terminal, newspaper, and store.

John Tyson, Chairman of the Board at Tyson, told KNWA, "Those of us who grew up in Springdale, we remember when Emma [Avenue] had a lot of activity."

Tyson is aiming to bring its corporate activity back downtown, where the company first got its start.

Once all of Tyson's downtown projects wrap up, between 350 and 400 Tyson staffers will work in the area.
