Tyson Foods To Donate Chicken To NWA Food Bank

ROGERS, AR - Tyson Foods is celebrating a milestone in its fight to eliminate hunger.

In honor of 100 million pounds of product donated in the past 15 years and its renewed commitment to ending hunger, Tyson Foods, Inc. will donate a truckload of chicken to the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank. The food, which is part of Tyson Foods' recent pledge of $50 million in cash and in-kind donations over the next five years to fight food insecurity, will be used to help eliminate hunger in the area the company has called home since 1935.

The Springdale-based company will donate a truckload of chicken to the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, as part of its recent pledge to help fight food insecurity.

Recent statistics show 1 in 4 people in Northwest Arkansas are food insecure.

This event will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 23 at Frisco Park in Rogers.

Rogers mayor, Greg Hines is set to attend the festivities.
