Washington County Middle School Wins State-of-the-Art Fitness Center

LINCOLN, AR - A middle school in Washington County is one of three Arkansas' most outstanding schools for promoting student physical activity according to a press release from the Governor.

Governor Asa Hutchinson and Chairman of the National Foundation for Governors' Fitness Council Jake Steinfeld awarded Lincoln Middle School from Lincoln, Arkansas.

According to the press release, Lincoln Middle School will receive a 'Live Positively Fitness Center' that is "fully funded through public/private partnerships with companies like Coca-Cola, Anthem Foundation, and Nike."

The release said there is no government funding or costs to taxpayers.

The other winning schools include: ML King Magnet Elementary in Little Rock and SC Tucker Elementary in Danville.
