Weekend Events Happening in NWA

NORTHWEST ARKANSAS/RIVER VALLEY - Here are a few weekend activities happening in Northwest Arkansas.

Saturday, May 20:

The Fayetteville Farmers' Market is doing more than providing food to go on the table.  Live cooking demonstrations will begin from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. No cooking experience required.  The demonstrations will run every third Saturday of the month through September.

Saturday is "Kids to Parks Day." It's a national initiative for parents and grandparents to teach their kids about the outdoors. Drop by one of your city parks or one of Arkansas 52 State Parks.  Several of the state parks will have themed activities to commemorate the day.

The Fourth annual Ale on the Border will take place in Fort Smith. It's an event with over 100 craft beers from Arkansas breweries.  The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. inside Chaffee Crossing.  For more information, click here.  Proceeds from the beer fest will benefit local charities.
