Rogers, AR - The Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G is adding new elements to attract more than just golf fans.

"We've expanded almost everything that we do," says Tournament Chairman Jay Allen. "We want this place to not just be for golf fans, but for everyone to come out and have a good time, including families."

In the middle of all the action, an expanded kids center offers putt putt, free ice cream and plenty of other activities. Helene Carter isn't into golf, but she brought her kids out to check out the event.

"I think it's amazing," Carter says. "It just brings an exposure to the area, and all the people who live in the area that may not be exposed to golf, especially women's golf, to see what it's about."

The tournament didn't forget about adults, and the loudest hole in golf is back, and bigger than ever.

"It's almost like a football stadium or a baseball stadium feel, where all the, kind of the typical rules of golf go out the window," Allen says. "People are yelling and screaming all the time. The players are throwing footballs into the crowd. That's probably the biggest thing that's new this year that we've expanded, so when you get here, I would just say go to 17 and work from there."

The tournament is also inviting local food trucks in for the first time, and they will set up in the same area, just inside the main entrance.
