NWA Championship: A Family Fun Event

Golf is the ultimate spectator sport, but not everyone in the family was interested in the game at the Northwest Arkansas Championship in Rogers.

The pros take their swing, but if you look to the other side of the green it's a lot of childs play. Jentry Jones said it's convenient to have the option for his little boy, Jagger to play. "Obviously we came to watch the golf, but having the children's activities and events has made it extra for family. It's very nice." Other parents we talked to appreciated the family friendly event.

Sarah Gilmore said that her son is "18 months old and it's hard to get to do a lot of stuff as a family of four, but we can all come and have fun." Another Mom, Ashlee Towery said the activities keep her kids busy. "It would be harder to bring the kids out here because they do need a little entertainment to keep them going."

It doesn't take a lot to entertain these kids, especially with a bounce house and an ice cream truck. The tournament staff had free popsicles for a portion of the day to cool off those in the heat.
