Fayetteville, Ark - The Arkansas Razorback Baseball team continued its dominance at the plate on Tuesday night beating the Memphis Tigers 16-7. The Razorbacks move to 30-8 on the season while Memphis drops to 21-16.
Arkansas fell behind to Memphis after one inning three to nothing on the Andy Bowman three run home run to center field in the first.
The Razorbacks responded with three runs in the second and four runs in the third inning to take a 7-3 lead.
Memphis tied the game up in the fourth on a solo home run and a three run double. Arkansas then plated the next nine runs of the game in the 5th and 6th innings to win the game 16-7.
Leading the Hogs at the plate were Dominic Fletcher who went 3-5 with four RBI just missing out an the cycle flying out to right in his final two at bats.
Chad Spanberger went 2-4 at the plate with a single and double driving in four runs while Jake Arledge, Luke Bonfield and Jax Biggers also drove in two runs to lead the Hogs at the plate.
Matt Cronin picked up the win in relief going an 1 1/3 innings with two hits and two strikeouts. Barrett Loseke started the game and gave up three runs in three innings.
Arkansas and Memphis will be back on the diamond Wednesday night in North Little Rock at Dickey Stephens Park to wrap up the two game series. First pitch for the finale is at 6:32 p.m. with no television or web broadcast for the game.
