The SEC Championhip meet will consist of the top teams in the country, while nine SEC teams appear in the latest rankings, including five teams in the top-10. Florida is the nation’s top-ranked men’s team, while Texas A&M checks in at No. 2 and Arkansas is No. 4. Georgia is ranked seventh, while LSU is ninth. Alabama is ranked 11th, Ole Miss 18th, Kentucky 19th and Tennessee 21st.
Arkansas will compete for its fourth-consecutive outdoor championship in route to an attempt at three-straight SEC Triple Crowns Titles. After winning the 2013 SEC Cross Country Championships and 2014 SEC Indoor Championships, Arkansas is two thirds of the way to the program's 15th SEC Triple Crown. The Razorbacks have won 18 of the last 22 outdoor championships and a win would clinch the team’s 10th-straight overall conference title.
Reigning 2013 Outdoor Champions Andrew Irwin (pole vault) and Patrick Rono (1,500-meter) will return to defend their titles this weekend. In addition, 2014 Indoor Champions Raymond Higgs (long jump), Anthony May (high jump) and Solomon Haile (5,000-meter) are back to compete for their outdoor conference title.
The 2014 SEC Outdoor Championships will be broadcast live on ESPN3.com and live results can be followed online. For more information and updates on the No. 4 Razorbacks, follow @RazorbackTF on Twitter and visit www.arkansasrazorbacks.com
