Six Razorback Volleyball Matches on SEC Network
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas volleyball team will make six television appearances on the SEC Network this season as announced Wednesday morning by the conference office. Of the Razorbacks’ six matches, three will be televised in front of the team’s home crowd at Barnhill Arena.
Arkansas will make its SEC Network debut Oct. 8 when it hosts Ole Miss in Fayetteville. First serve of the midweek matchup is scheduled for 6 p.m. (CT). The Razorbacks will also host Texas A&M (Nov. 19) and Florida (Nov. 23) on the SEC Network this season. The team’s three road matches on the network will include trips to Texas A&M (Oct. 15), Alabama (Oct. 26) and Georgia (Nov. 9).
The Razorbacks have the possibility of an additional match on the SEC Network with the Nov. 26 broadcast date designated as a wild card selection. An addition slate of games, to be announced at a later date, will be carried on the SEC Network’s digital platforms. All SEC Network and ESPNU games will be available on WatchESPN.
With Wednesday’s announcement, SEC volleyball will increase its national exposure with 40 matches televised by the SEC Network. Overall, the new network and its accompanying digital platform will air SEC content 24/7 including more than 1,000 events in its first year. Contact your local cable provider for SEC Network availability. AT&T U-Verse, DISH, Google Fiber and NRTC have agreed to carry the SEC Network which will launch August 14, 2014.
In preparation of its upcoming season, Arkansas has paired with Bring It Promotions for a four-country, 13-day European tour from May 20-June 1. During the trip, the Razorbacks will visit Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and the Czech Republic with competition dates and sightseeing scheduled at each stop.
