Two Arkansas Signees Selected in Draft

Two Arkansas baseball signees have been selected in day two of the MLB Draft. 

Daniel Tillo, a pitcher from Iowa Western Community College, was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the third round of the draft. Tillo, the 90th overall pick. The lefty went 5-1 last season, earning 54 strikeouts in 41 innings. Tillo is the highest ever draft pick out of Iowa Western. 

Another Hog signee, Canaan Smith of Rockwall, Texas was drafted by the New York Yankees. The catcher is the 122nd overall pick. Smith got the Barry Bonds treatment in high school because pitchers walked him so much. This season, Smith has 32 walks in 24 games.
