Six years and running- the Southwest Elite 7-on-7 showcase in Springdale has attracted high school teams from all over.
"There is always a good competition out here. 7A schools, 6A schools, people from different states. It's great competition and I'm always glad to be here."
Out of the 32 teams in competition at Shiloh Christian- two teams, Fayetteville and Charleston- have future hogs CJ O'Grady and Ty Storey on their roster.
"I watched a little bit of him, not as much as I'd like too. But he is going to be a great one for us. He'll go up and make the catch and I really like that about him. He's 6'6, just throw it up to him and let him go play." Says Charleston Quarterback Ty Storey.
"He can spin the ball, he is going to be good. He's already good, but he is going to be one of the elite quarterbacks I think." adds Fayetteville Tight End CJ O'Grady.
Both Charleston and Fayetteville made it to the Quarterfinals of the single elimination tournament- But the Bulldogs falling to this year's champions- Harrison-
"It's all because we were messing around thinking we were going to win in the beginning before the game and that's what happened. We came into the game and thought we were going to win and looked bad out there in the first half." adds O'Grady.
And the Tigers to Heritage Hall.
"It's a team game. Maybe I didn't throw a perfect spiral, it's on all of us, so we are going to have to get better as a team, and we will. But 7-3, I'm proud of my guys, we battled." adds Storey.
