GOSHEN, AR-- After being born a full 14 weeks early and spending seven months in the ICU, this Northwest Arkansas baby is headed home.

A message and picture posted to the Go Cannon Go Facebook page said it all, "After 199 days in the NICU, 2 hospitals, over 28 doctors, countless nurses, and many, many other specialists, professionals, and developmental therapists, we are on our way HOME!!! Our hearts are so full."

We first told you about this story back in April, when Cannon's aunt, Courtney Gorden told us, "They've called the family to the hospital a couple of times, saying they didn't think he was going to make it through the night."

"We are crossing our fingers for a miracle."

Since then, more than 1,100 people have followed his story on social media where the family posted updates on his early lows as he fought for his life to his later highs as he put on weight and relied less and less on things like tubes and ventilators.

Shortly after he was born on March 24th, Cannon was taken to Arkansas Children's Hospital for care but on Tuesday he was discharged and his parents brought him back to their home in Goshen.
