Top students in academics, athletics, fine arts and other areas were introduced at the event, which was a chance for the graduating seniors to thank their teachers and say goodbye as they move on from high school.
"Many times, teachers and their students don't really have the opportunity to show appreciation for their teachers, and today, that's a special moment," FHS Principal John Jacoby said. "It becomes very emotional for both students and teachers alike."
Thursday was the last day of class for Fayetteville seniors.
The graduation ceremony is scheduled for 7 p.m. May 15 at the Bud Walton Arena.
