Buyer’s always ask…do I need a realtor to buy a home? The answer is yes. The home buying process is not simple, A good realtor is their representing you, making sure your best interests are being served. This can save you thousands of dollars in the long run.
First…meet with a local lender. You need to have a budget and be pre-approved for your loan. This gives you more negotiating power. Many online banks say they can approve your loan in just 15 minutes but it’s never that easy. I have seen numerous home sales fall apart in the last hour due to the online lenders. Think local!
I like the team at Bank of Arkansas. They will sit down with you and explain the financial side of buying a new home. They have many different loan programs from 100% financing to Jumbo Loans - all at great rates, but what I love most, is their personal attention, even if you cannot qualify today they will help lay out the steps to get you into that new home as quick as possible.
NOW that you have a budget it is time to shop! A realtor can stream line this process. Mike and I both work with buyers helping them find that perfect home and negotiate the right price…but the process is not over.
You still have the home inspection, termite policy, title commitments and any other contractual items to get through.
A good realtor will help you through this entire process, making sure things proceed smoothly until you close on your home. For a Buyer’s Check List email me or call
