Weather Blog: Sunny Skies for Friday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) - At this time, all thunderstorm activity remains across the Texas panhandle with another weaker area across north central Texas.

Some computer model solutions indicate elevated convection developing to the west and impacting parts of eastern Oklahoma later this morning.

Confidence is somewhat low that convection will be realized given the latest radar trends across the region and limited instability in place.

However, will opt to carry low pops across parts of eastern Oklahoma this morning.

Debris clouds shouldn't hamper temperatures too much by afternoon but have erred on the cool side of guidance across parts of eastern Oklahoma given the recent rainfall.

Otherwise, upper ridge to build into the area this weekend.

A weak frontal boundary may move into parts of the area next week.

The American model is a little more aggressive with generating rainfall than the European model, so will go with a broad-brush of low pops from Tuesday on.

Stayed fairly close to guidance temperatures in the extended.
