Governor Hutchinson Orders AR Flag at Half-Staff in Memory of Charleston, S.C. Victims

LITTLE ROCK, AR (News release) – Governor Asa Hutchinson has issued a proclamation ordering the flag of the State of Arkansas to be flown at half-staff on June 26, 2015 to coincide with the funeral service of Reverend Clementa Pinckney and in memory of the other eight victims of the horrific acts of violence that occurred at the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in Charleston, South Carolina.

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement:

“The Arkansas flag will be lowered to half-staff tomorrow out of respect for the funeral service of Rev. Clementa Pinckney, one of the nine victims of the shooting last week in Charleston, South Carolina. We stand with South Carolina and with the nation in mourning this horrific act of violence.”
