LITTLE ROCK, AR — When you see yourself you’re probably looking at yourself in 2D. But if you’re having plastic surgery you would probably want a better close up image right?
“This is the Canfield Vectra, it is a 3D imaging machine it will take a series of pictures and piece them together to give you an image of yourself in 3Ddeminsion,” says Dr. Michael Spann.
Bridging the gap of how we see ourselves, allowing doctors to make the best changes possible to your body.
“This is the only one in the state, as far as I know and the reaction has been very positve, this is really an educational tool for us as a plastic surgeon because you’re coming in, you’re anxious about what we are going to do how we are going to do it. This gives you a really clear idea, this is what I’m thinking as a surgeon,” says Dr. Spann.
Results may not come out exactly like what you’re seeing.
“Results aren’t guaranteed but as a surgeon it gives you the opportunity to educate the patient,” says Spann.
Dr. Spann says education is key, “I take everything very, very seriously from the standpoint of engaging with the patient trying to understand what they want.”
In order to do that, the Vectra makes it possible.
“To visualize,” what the new you will look like.
