Cayla Cade joined KNWA & FOX 24 in August 2023 after graduating from Morgan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Journalism. 

Cayla was born in Washington D.C. and raised in Upper Marlboro, MD. Growing up, she discovered her love for storytelling, writing, researching, and dancing. 

She knew she wanted to be either a print or TV journalist since elementary school. 

In college, she was a producer for a radio show, campus news/features editor of the student newspaper, and a reporter for the TV news show while interning with WBAL in Baltimore and WJLA in Arlington, VA. 

Cayla also interned with Maryland Public Television prior to moving to Arkansas. 

She is an alumna of the Urban Journalism Workshop, Howard University’s Multicultural Media Academy, The Washington Journalism And Media Conference, and NABJ’s Student Multimedia Project.

In her free time, Cayla enjoys binge-watching TV shows, watching scary movies, and dancing to all kinds of dance genres. 

Cayla is very excited to tell the stories of the NWA and River Valley community!
